Diagenetic mineral formation along the sedimentary column
The research goals of this work package are to identify early diagenetic processes shortly after sediment deposition, determine diagenetic mineral formation and maturation over Pleistocene time-scales and potentially develop diagenetic mineral-based proxies for pore fluid alteration and sourcing in order to link the impact of mineral formation at depth on paleoenvironmental and paleoclimate proxies
Laboratory
This study will be held at the University of Bern's Institute of Geological sciences, within the Sedimentary Geochemistry lab
